Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack Review - 2023 Lexus UX 250h- Video
How's it going neighbors, this is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E-bike carrier on our 2023 Lexus UX 250 H. The Destination E is a good rack, in my opinion, just based on the fact that it has a solid weight rating right at 70 pounds and you have a frame mounted system, so you're gonna have two points of contact on your front wheel right here and here for your strap and one single bar that's holding you in the center. And that is adjustable for varying styles of frame, so that makes it a lot more flexible, and then you just have the single strap on the rear. Frame mounted bikes generally are gonna work better if you don't mind contact to the frame of your bike. If you have a carbon fiber frame or unconventional like a step through, you may want to look at some other options. To tilt the Destination E, we're gonna take the gray knob, and twist it and pull it down. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Lexus RX 350- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail 2-Bike Platform-Style Bike Rack here on our 2021 Lexus RX 350. Now, with this style of platform rack, you're gonna be holding the bike by the tires here on either end. This is really nice because it's gonna make it accept a really wide variety of bikes. We've got our mountain bike on here today and it fits perfectly fine, but any sort of alternative frame bike, where you might not be able to get a hook on the frame or anything like that, or maybe a carbon frame bike where you don't wanna damage it, it's gonna work great on this, because, again, our point of contact is the tire right here on either side. Now, in addition to that, you get these adjustment points on the wheel cradles. So you can adjust this bolt right here down to fit a smaller size wheel. more

For example, we don't wanna put a carbon frame up here. Hanging by the frame could cause some carbon frame damage but for any other regular bike, you're good to go. more

Unfortunately, this isn't going to be a great option, probably gonna have to start looking at some wheel mounts platform racks. more

Right here, we do have our gray model today, However, it does come in a host of different colors if you are looking to match your style, it does come in black and Pearl as well. One thing I've noticed about this rack and I personally like it, is where it's going to hold the bikes in reference to the ground. What I mean by that, is it's going to hold the bikes high enough off the ground. We're not really going to have to worry about any interference, but more importantly, it's not going to hold them up so high that it's going to block or obstruct your view whenever you're looking in your rear view, driving down the mirror. more

In this position, we're going to gain full access into our back hatch area to get anything in or out that we may need. What's great about this is that we don't have to worry about removing our bike rack or our bikes just to gain that access. You can see there is plenty of room to stand in between the bike rack and our hatch. more

Yakima HoldUp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2007 Lexus RX 350- Video
Today on our 2007 Lexus RX350, we'll be doing a test fit on the Yakima Hold Up Platform Style 2 Bike Rack. That's part number Y02443. I've already got it loaded up on the Lexus, just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to work with our 2 bikes. There's actually zero frame contact with how it holds our bikes into position. We have this large wheel hook going over our front wheel, put down pressure onto our front wheel cradle. In the back, we've got a rear wheel strap going over the rear wheel and ratchets down all in all keeps that in place. We've also got an integrated cable lock within the arm so we can further secure our bikes. more

We've got this large wheel hook going over our front wheel, putting down pressure into our wheel cradle down here. Then we'll have our rear wheel strap going over our rear wheel keeping that from coming out of the tray. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2006 Lexus RX 330- Video
Today on our 2006 Lexus RX330 we're test fitting the Thule Vertex hanging-style 4-bike rack, part number TH9029XT. This bike rack is designed to work with 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. The first thing we'll do is take a look at our bike and how it's strapped to the rack. We've got two cradles holding that bike down and then three straps, two on our frame here and one is our anti-sway strap in the back. To release those we're just going to pull down and lift up. We always want to save that anti-sway strap for last, and then when we're loading up our bike, do that first. We'll just take our bike off, set it off to the side. more

Today on our 2014 Lexus RX350, we've got the Swagman XC2 00:00:04 out and we're going to test it and see how it fits the back of the vehicle. This is a platform style two-bike rack, it's been designed so that we can use it with an inch and a quarter or with the two inch hitches. Part number on it S64650. Now this is a really, nice light-weight platform style rack. Can't say that a lot about a lot of them because they can get kind of heavy. This isn't the case with this one. It's nice, simple, straight-forward, really easy to use, and very cost effective. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2006 Lexus RX 330- Video
Today on our 2006 Lexus RX, we're test fitting the Thule Vertex Swing-Away Style 4-Bike Rack, part number TH9031XT. The first feature I want to show you is the swing-away. To do so, we'll pull out this T pin here, undo this knob in the back, pull up on the T pin, and pull the bike rack away. When it's about 90 degrees, we turn the rack itself until this bottom T pin is inserted in the hole down here, and we'll keep swinging it out until the holes line up on this bottom pin. Now, as you can see that allows us full access into that back hatch of our vehicle, so we can get anything in or out that we may need. With our hatch closed up, we'll go ahead and take a few measurements. Our closest point to the vehicle is going to be our wheel here. more

The part number on it is TH934XTR. Now to begin our test fit we want to slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll then line up our threaded hole with our hitch pinhole. We'll then use our provided anti-rattle bolt and we're going to thread that in. more

Thule Helium Aero Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2005 Lexus RX 330- Video
Today on our 2005 Lexus RX 330 we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Helium Aero. Now this is a tilting and folding 2-bike rack. They've designed it so we can use it with 1-1/4" or 2" hitches. The part number on it is TH9042. Now if you need a little extra room we also have this available in a 3-bike. That part number is TH9043. We're going to hold out on the black attached pin and then simply slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. more

Saris Freedom SuperClamp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2005 Lexus RX 330- Video
Today on our 2005 Lexus RX 330, we're going to do a test fit on the Saris Freedom SuperClamp. This is a platform style 2 bike rack, designed to hold your bike completely without making contact with the frame. Designed also for use with 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is SA4025. Now to begin our test fit, we want to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We need to slide it in far enough so that our threaded hole lines up with our hitch pin hole. With those in line, we're going to take the provided anti-rattle bolt. more

Saris Bike Porter Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2005 Lexus RX 330- Video
Today on our 2005 Lexus RX 330 we're going to do a test fit on the Saris Bike Porter. This is a folding and tilting 4-bike rack. They've designed it for use with 1-1/4" or 2" hitches. The part number is SA404B. Now we also have this available in a 2-bike if you'd prefer. Part number on that: SA402B. Now to begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. more

Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2005 Lexus RX 330- Video
Today on our 2005 Lexus Rx330 we're going to do a test fit on the Swagman Titan. This is a folding and tilting 4 bike rack. They've designed it for use with 1 1/4 or 2 inch hitches. The part number on it is S63410. To begin our test fit we need to slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. We've got a threaded hole here. Line that up with our hitch pin hole, then take our anti-rattle bolt which is provided. more

Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2005 Lexus RX 330- Video
Today on our 2005 Lexus RX330 we're going to do a test fit on the Yakima FullTilt. Now this is a folding and tilting 4-bike rack. It's been designed for use with 1-1/4" or 2" hitches. The part number on it is Y02462. Now to begin our test fit what we're going to do, slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this we want to slide it far enough for our small pin to appear in our hitch pinhole. With that in place we'll tighten the red triangle-shaped knob here at the rear. more

Today on our 2005 Lexus RX 330 we're going to do a test fit on the Saris Axis. This is a folding and tilting 3-bike rack. They've designed it so we can use it with 1-1/4" or 2" hitches. The part number on it SA843B. Now to begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. You can see here there's a threaded pinhole. We want to line that up with our hitch pinhole. more

Kuat NV Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2005 Lexus RX 330- Video
Today on our 2005 Lexus RX 330 we're going to do a test fit on the Kuat NV. This is a folding and tilting 4-bike platform-style rack. As you can see, they've designed it for use in 2" hitches. In the black and chrome the part number is N105-107. We also have it available in a nice gun metal gray and orange finish; that part number is N101-103. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We're then going to line up our pinhole with our hitch pinhole. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 1999 Lexus RX 300- Video
Today on this 1999 Lexus RX300, were going to be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro, Part # TH934XTR. To mount our bike carrier to our vehicle, the first thing we need to do is remove the adapter sleeve which we have already done. Well take the shank of the bike rack and insert it into the receiver tube of our hitch. Well line up the hitch pinholes then well start to tread in our anti rattle bolt and we'll tighten it down with a 3/4 inch wrench. Once we've done that, we're going to check for rear vehicle access. Well remove the pin at the base of the rack and tilt it down. more
